We decided to head north and try and get out of the weather that was heading towards Perth, we were not so successful.

Took the more scenic route up to Yalgoo which ended up being the shortest distance too.

Another 70km on the gravel and we arrived at the stations homestead camping area about an hour before expected arrival time, we made good time being we had an excellent run North.

Refueled at Yalgoo, a 24/7 help yourself credit card only bowser, these seem to be the norm out there in the bush these days, it is the second one I have come across now, the other one at Lake King.

Met some wonderful people camping at the station that evening around the campfire and the only evening the rain didn't set in, the following evening wasn't all together pleasant nor was the next day, wind and rain a pain.

Hour hosts Jo and Ken were marvelous. The following day Ken offered everyone an opportunity to take a 50km drive around the property which had been named 'Breakaway Drive'. Some magnificent country well worth taking a look at and to have Jo explain the history of the area, cultural significance of some locations the much on the fragile ecosystems and environment was really quite a treat.
